Procedures
Many women choose to have areola pigmenting treatments to enhance the appearance of their breasts. For some women, this is the simple desire to change the size, shape, or color of their natural areola to their preferred esthetic. For other women, it’s to correct asymmetries due to breastfeeding or elective surgeries. However, most commonly, areola medical tattooing represents the completion of the breast reconstruction process.
Bilateral Areola Tattooing
If you have had a bilateral mastectomy with nipple reconstruction, together we can formulate an areola color that matches your preoperative photographs, or, if you prefer, we can formulate a pigment that is completely new. If you have had elective breast surgery and would like to make your areolas appear larger, we can formulate a pigment that matches your natural areola. Contrary, if you would like to make your natural areolas appear smaller, that’s easily achieved by implanting flesh-toned pigment into the perimeter of the areolas.
Unilateral Areola Tattooing
If you have had a unilateral mastectomy with nipple reconstruction, we can simply match the pigment to the contralateral nipple.
Three-Dimensional Areola Tattooing
You may not have opted to undergo the areola reconstructive process at all. In this case I can help you achieve a natural look with my 3-D tattoos. This gives us the freedom to completely customize your look by creating the size, shape, position, and color of your choice.
Scar Camouflaging
Scar camouflaging is a procedure many breast cancer survivors and women who undergo elective surgery alike are grateful for. Most women find this procedure extremely satisfying as it adds significant beauty to the breasts and aids in restoring confidence. Scar camouflaging can be achieved by laser treatments, medical scar tattooing, or a combination of both.
Areola pigmentation and scar camouflage represent the completion of the breast reconstruction process. It’s an honor to be a part of this healing, and I sincerely thank you for considering me as a candidate to help restore your sense of femininity after breast surgery or surviving breast cancer.
